Don't piss off a nerd!
I am/was a member of a Star Wars fan club called the Macon Clones. As of recent the Clones have been going through a HUGE bout of "he said, she said". All of this hooey over nothing! Now the friends I made through the Macon Clones were a part of this, but I believe, and I'm not "trying" to be bias, but I feel that they were treated badly, and unjust in the recent hoopla. I don't have all the facts, but I have enough of them to know that some were banned from the group in a manner that was ubrupt and unfair. Some were banned soley by association with another Clone member. How fair is that? Guilty by association? Whatever!
One of the Clone members that was banned posted on there under another account just so he could say his part in his defense. Granted he was a bit rough with his words, but who could blame him with the way he was treated? So, in rebuttle to his post, another Clone member felt like they should take matters into their own hands and send a VERY nasty email to them and even filed a police report! WTF!?! This person insulted his wife in a way that I felt as a woman to be so uncalled for and unbelievably rude and childish. And the wife had NOTHING to do with this emailer. The emailer called her names, and even insulted her as a parent and mentioned things about her kids. You don't do that!!! And from what I hear, the emailer, her sister and her brother (I think....it was some other male member) emailed them to their personal email addresses and verbally attacked them......several times! I find that grossly immature and ones that will always be stirring up trouble where ever they go and with who ever comes their way.
What I can't get over personally is that this morning, I posted basically my two cents worth. I wrote in a manner that I felt was not degrading or insulting to anyone on the forums in any way. BUT by noon time today, my post was deleted. Never mind that everyone else had at it, and got to say what they wanted. I post something to be heard and to voice my opinion hoping that someone would read it and know how I felt, and see my/our point of view. But to delete posts of a non threatening manner, and ban people soley on association is what I feel to be the most childish, ridicioulous, mindless, uncaring, unthoughtful, insulting thing a club officer could do. I say up yours Macon CloWns! I hope you're happy now that more than half of your little club is gone. But then again, they probably are happy that we're gone. I feel that the officers/founding members felt threatend and didn't want anything to do with me, or my friends. Obviously anyone that had to do with the ones that were banned, they didn't want to see their side of it. And they were/are probably happy to see us go. Well good riddance to you too! I'm more than happy to leave the group and stand by my friends because that's what friends do.
